Phaedra Studios was built in 2012 by John Lee on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. The studio was designed meticulously as a multi-room, highly flexible music recording facility, and is now run by Pat Telfer as Sydney Road Studios. There is a large tracking space, as well as smaller booth - both separated by windows from the control room pictured below - amp room/echo chamber, as well as large dining area, kitchen and workshop.

The studio is founded on fast vanishing recording and musical principles and practices, and aims to provide access to electrical audio equipment and carefully curated acoustic space, designed in a way that is intuitive, creative, comfortable and musical.
